Do you love getting artsy, crafty, or just love making cool stuff? Come to LJS Art Club to explore new art  media and techniques, collaborate with other LJS artists, create amazing artwork, and become better artists together.

The Liberty Junior High Dance Team meets once a week on Tuesdays directly after school. Dancers will learn different styles of dance and will perform at a few select boys basketball games at halftime.

Jazz Band is a select, audition-only extra-curricular class experiencing music in the traditional jazz style. This enrichment opportunity covers concepts beyond the regular band class. 8th grade jazz band meets Tuesdays and Thursdays after school from 2:20-3:15 pm, beginning on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. 7th grade jazz band will begin during 2nd semester.

National Honor Society is an organization that promotes leadership, service, character, and academic achievement. Students who earned a 3.9 GPA or better in their 7th grade year will be invited to apply. Accepted students will work together to learn and grow as leaders, complete service opportunities, and develop the culture and character of LJS.

What is Student Council?

A way for students to get involved in the affairs of the school, working in partnership with school management, staff, and parents to benefit the school and its students.

Why do it?

You have a valuable contribution to make in the operation of the school. You are provided the opportunity to acquire the sort of communication, planning and organizational skills which will be of benefit in your future lives.

In Yearbook Club, students will take photos and videos of school activities.  They will also learn to do page layouts, how to upload pictures, and help to sort and distribute the yearbooks when they arrive at the end of the year.  Yearbook club meets once each month, and students may also schedule with Ms. Thomas to work after school.
