Character Night

Character Night 2 Liberty Junior held their first ever Character Night recently, in which all 7th grade students and their parents discussed the importance of personal character strengths.

The interactive evening provided parents a chance to identify their own character strengths and learn about their Liberty Junior student’s identified strengths.

Prior to the event, the students completed the VIA Institution on Character survey, which gave each student a personalized report of their top five character strengths. Scientific research indicates that a focus on the top five will subsequently build up the other character traits.

Counselors have followed up with students in class to discuss the wealth of information, the value and use of the report. Liberty Junior will continue to provide building activities over the school year to emphasize traits and give opportunities for continued growth of these qualities.
